    Karstedt Platinum Catalyst is zero-valent platinum divinyltetramethyldisiloxane complex with CAS No. 68478-92-2, a high-end hydrosilylation curing agent exclusively for addition-type silicone systems. It is a crystal clear and colorless liquid with ultra-strong catalytic activity, specially developed for manufacturing high-transparency, food-grade and medical-grade silicone products.

    Compared with traditional chloroplatinic acid isopropanol platinum water, our Karstedt complex platinum eliminates yellow discoloration after curing and maintains long-term permanent transparency of silicone finished goods. It features excellent anti-poisoning performance and fast low-temperature curing speed, perfectly matching premium silicone products with strict requirements on surface transparency and appearance.

    7. Storage & Transportation Guidelines

    1. Storage Conditions: Keep tightly sealed, store in cool, dry and dark warehouses at 10–30℃; stay away from direct sunlight and heat sources.
    2. Forbidden Contact Materials: Separate from sulfur, phosphorus, nitrogen, tin, lead and mercury compounds, which will cause platinum catalyst poisoning and failure.
    3. Transport Classification: Class 3 flammable liquid; comply with IMDG sea shipping and IATA air freight regulations.


    8. Operation Precautions

    1. Recommended operation sequence: Mix catalyst evenly into vinyl silicone base before adding hydrogen-containing silicone oil.
    2. Never blend with sulfur-based vulcanizing agents, tin catalysts or amine additives, otherwise curing failure will occur.
    3. Wear protective gloves and goggles during operation; flush skin or eyes with plenty of clean water immediately in case of splashing.
    4. Store separately from peroxide curing agents; mixed storage is prohibited.
    5. Add matched curing inhibitor for long pot life if you adopt low-viscosity silicone formulas.
