Liquid Silicone Anti-Static Agent (for LSR liquid silicone rubber)
Features
- Appearance: Colorless or pale yellow transparent flowing liquid, low viscosity, good compatibility with LSR Part A, no delamination.
- Silicone ionic modified oligomer, platinum catalyst friendly, no cure inhibition.
- Surface resistance after curing: 10⁸ ~10¹¹ Ω/sq, fast static charge dissipation, dust-proof.
- Heat stable under 120–160℃ vulcanization, no yellowing during molding.
- Halogen-free, comply with RoHS & REACH.
Applications
Internal additive for Platinum cured Liquid Silicone Rubber (LSR)
- Anti-static silicone keypads, electronic gaskets, semiconductor cushion pads
- ESD silicone tubes & cable sleeves
- Transparent anti-static silicone sheets, casting silicone molds Process: injection molding, pouring & potting.
Advantages
- Easy addition: Directly mix into Part A, low-speed stir 5–10 minutes, good dispersion without grinding.
- Less impact on transparency, keep clear / translucent appearance.
- Long-lasting antistatic performance, low tendency of blooming. Less humidity-sensitive than common quaternary ammonium antistatic agents.
- Minor effect on silicone mechanical properties (tensile, tear, hardness).
- Slight internal lubrication, good mold release.
Recommended Dosage & Process
- Recommended dosage: 3%~5% based on total weight of silicone (A+B)Low requirement:2~3%; Strong ESD demand:4~6%
- Operation: Add into LSR Part A, stir uniformly, then mix with Part B curing agent and vulcanize.
- Note: Surface resistance will be stable after 72 hours at room temp after demolding.
Limitations
- Slightly humidity dependent.
- Over-dosage (>6%) may reduce tear strength.
- For platinum LSR only, NOT suitable for solid silicone with peroxide curing system.
Cannot replace powder-grade silicone anti-static agent for solid silicone compound.
