A1: Its core advantage is ultra-low cost. It is the most economical platinum catalyst for mass production of ordinary industrial silicone without strict transparency requirements, effectively lowering your overall raw material cost.
Q2: Why will silicone turn yellow after using this platinum water?
A2: This catalyst contains residual hydrochloric acid. During hydrosilylation reaction and long-term storage, acid substances will trigger oxidation discoloration on silicone, resulting in yellow or amber finished products.
Q3: Can this platinum water be used for baby silicone or medical silicone?
A3: Not recommended. The yellowing problem and acid residue cannot meet food contact and biocompatibility standards. We suggest choosing Karstedt zero-valent platinum complex for medical & food-grade silicone.
